OverviewGolden Sun returns on the Nintendo DS, starring the descendants of the original game's protagonists. It is the first entry on the DS, and the first in full 3D. It was released in Japan on October 28, 2010 and in North America on November 29, 2010.
Mystics Apprentice rates this game: 5/5I was at first unsure of trying the game out, as I've played so many RPG's that have not lived up to their expectations. This game will definitely not disappoint you.
The gameplay is very fun and addicting. You have the classical RPG style with an added in twist of puzzle solving (which if you're a Zelda fan like myself you will love it.). The battles aren't overly difficult, and you won't find yourself having to stop and level up to continue to progress through the game. Personally, I find this nice. As it drives me crazy having to stop in the middle of an adventure to go off and level up.
Unlike the 2 previous Golden Sun games, this sequel was a bit easier overall (puzzles, battles, etc) but I didn't find it overly easy or annoying. But if you like to really put your skills to the test, this game might not be for you.
I can only say wonderful things about this game. The storyline is sensational, the characters are memorable, and the gameplay is amazing. The soundtrack for Dark Dawn is awesome as well. Some of the original golden sun songs are used along with a whole new set, which is refreshing.
This game is a must for any die-hard RPG or Golden Sun fan. I can safely say this was the best RPG I've ever played.

A very simple but really exciting game help the Children of warrior of light to fight the evil and save the world.
Pontinho rates this game: 5/5After going dark six years ago, 2010 will see a new dawn. Golden Sun DS updates the popular portable Golden Sun role-playing series with an impressive graphical style. This installment follows the story of the previous heroes' descendants and immerses players into the magic of its adventure by pushing the boundaries of intuitive touch-screen controls.
Dawn is coming... rates this game: 5/5Set 30 years after the original, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn takes players to new depths and secrets of the world. With new Psynergy types and all new characters, join the children of the legendary Warriors of Vale as they make new friends, enemies, and protect the world from an unforseeable future.
ShiroShun rates this game: 4/5Golden Sun Dark Dawn is the third game in the Golden Sun franchise. In my personal experience in Golden Sun, (the first game) it followed the basic RPG methods. A hero, his party of loyal friends, journeying through vast seas and scorching deserts, for a noble cause. Unique weapons, armors, and skills, or Psynergy. Because I didn't finish the first game, I was afraid to try Dark Dawn, but the game is completely unique that you don't need to play the first game to enjoy it. It lays everything down to basics so you can get immersed quickly, and it works. Although if you're an experienced RPG player and know the ins and outs, some features come unnecessary. Nonetheless, the Psynergy mechanic is incredible, the dialogue is great, the story is amazing and the battles are challenging. Undoubtedly one of the best RPGs ever, as always from Golden Sun games.
